Roundworms are Also called nematodes, and there are more nematodes on Earth than any other many-celled organism. More than 500,000 species of roundworms exist today. Roundworms are found everywhere: in plants, animals, salt water, fresh water, and most commenly, soil. Roundworms are tapered at both ends. Most species of roundworms have male and female worms, and produce sexually. Nematodes have two body openings, a mouth and a digestive track called an anus. Also roundworms have bilateral symmetry, which means that the roundworm can be divided in half, and both parts be equal in shape and size.
